Just when Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez thought things couldn’t get any bloody better along come Nike with their sentimental ideas.
Not only are the two Leicester City stars sharing the spoils in terms of Player of the Season awards and preparing to parade the Premier League trophy aloft an open top bus, but now they’ve got their own special edition football boots.
By now you’ll be far to aware of how much I am advocate for the classic boot cut from the same leather as the Copa Mundial’s, but on this occasion i’m willing to admit the modern boot is actually pretty nice.
I might not be able to get my head around the sock type thing at the top, but you’ve got to hand it to Nike for whipping up the ‘Vahrez’ boots in quick time for the pair to don them for the final game of the season against Chelsea on Sunday.
