Manchester United ‘to Use 4-3-3 Formation Next Season With Wayne Rooney As First Choice Striker’

Manchester United are reportedly set to use a 4-3-3 formation next season with Wayne Rooney being used as the first choice striker.

The Red Devils have experimented with several formations but Louis van Gaal will stick with the 4-3-3 from now on.

Robin van Persie will provide backup and competition to Wayne Rooney should he stay at the club, according to Jason Burt.

RvP has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce this summer but LvG is supposedly keen on him staying.

The formation suggests that United may not be confident of landing a new forward and may use James Wilson as their third option.
