Chelsea Are Actually Set To Move Into Wembley Stadium While Stamford Bridge Is Redeveloped

Chelsea have made an £11million offer to the FA to use Wembley Stadium as they home while Stamford Bridge is redeveloped.

The Blues have put together a £500million plan to turn their existing ground in a 'cathedral of football' as part of huge plans by Roman Abramovich.

Work is already underway for that to become a reality, and the club are now looking for a three-year ground share while the building work is carried out.

And according to the Times, Chelsea want to move into Wembley – and have now made an offer after talks.

They want to pay £11million to share the stadium for the next three years and want to move in before the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

It's not clear whether the FA is going to accept such an offer, but a ground share with a club has been on the cards in the past with both Arsenal and Tottenham keen when the stadium was built.
