Liverpool’s new signings Roberto Firmino and James Milner have already chosen their shirt numbers.
Only a day after a deal was struck for Hoffenheim’s Firmino, it has been revealed that he will don the number 11 shirt at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Milner, who arrived on a free transfer from Manchester City, will be wearing the iconic number 7 jersey, which has been vacant since Luis Suarez moved to Barcelona last summer.
Interestingly, Danny Ings turned down the number 7 shirt, saying he needs to earn it first – Milner has arguably done just about enough in his career to justify the choice.
