The Argentinean only moved to Manchester United from Real Madrid last summer for £59.7m.

But he's had a debut season to forget and reports in Spain say he's keen to return to the continent.

Spanish daily Sport report that Barcelona have made contact with the 27-year-old about a transfer - and that he wants the move.

They also say that boss Louis van Gaal is open to the idea of losing Di Maria after an underwhelming year in England.
